Facer graduated from University College London with a Bachelor's in English literature. After working several years in freelance journalism and public relations he returned to school and took an associate’s degree from Bath Spa University - graduating with a first in media communication from the School of Historical and Cultural Studies. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in graphic design from the School of Art and Design. More recently, Facer has focused on Interactive Media and earned an additional associate’s degree in interactive media design from the Art Institute of Seattle. Mark Bocek, partner, is a former member of the faculty of Web design and interactive media at the Art Institute of Seattle (AIS). He returned to teach at the institution from which he received an associate’s degree in multimedia and Web design. At AIS and other schools in the Seattle area, Bocek has taught Flash development, Web design, art, animation, interface design, project management, writing and business strategy. Bocek brings an expansive professional background in writing, editing and publications to his emphasis on information design. He has worked at Starbucks Design Group developing design concepts as a writer, in the marketing department of the Seattle Repertory Theatre as manager of publications and public relations, and as a technical editor for Boeing. In addition to his degree in design, Bocek earned a bachelor’s degree in theater at Reed College and went on to complete an M.A. in dramatic art at the University of California, Berkeley. He also spent two years at California Institute of the Arts doing graduate studies in playwriting and film. Bocek was involved in Seattle theater for many years as a designer, director and writer. Mark is a native of Yakima, Washington, and visits family there often. Interns Emeriti Anyone who interns for us gets thrown right into the middle of our work.
